Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan
The Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan (MHF) creates communities that have good mental health by inspiring people to recognize, understand, accept, and take action. We do this through various educational programs (be nice., Live Laugh Love and Mental Health First Aid), presentations, and community events.
Founded in 1990, the Foundation understands the importance of providing preventative education in addition to delivering supportive postvention programming for schools, businesses, and communities in West Michigan and beyond.
Suicide is the second leading cause of death nationally for high school and college aged students. The top priority for the Foundation in preventing suicide is educating youth and adults about mental illness and depression. The Foundation works to increase awareness and decrease stigma through mission-based, annual events and community partnerships.
Our education programs include be nice. (notice, invite, challenge, empower), Live Laugh Love and Mental Health First Aid.
