LowellArts has been a leader arts organization in West Michigan for four decades. LowellArts goal of connecting artists of all ages and abilities with appreciative audiences has been showcased by the many exhibitions, plays, performances and festivals that LowellArts presents each and every year. One of these festivals is the Fallasburg Arts Festival - a juried arts and fine crafts event that has connected hundreds of artisans with tens of thousands of festival goers each year.
LowellArts is well known in West Michigan for its annual juried fine art competition, rotating art exhibitions and Holiday Artists Market. LowellArts also presents plays and performances as well as co-hosts the Lowell Showboat Sizzlin’ Summer Concerts alongside the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce. This concert series brings music lovers from all over West Michigan to Lowell on Thursday nights for a truly diverse sampling of musical talent every summer.
In 2015, LowellArts’ programs in the visual and performing arts and arts festivals served over 50,000 youth and adults. In addition, 595 artists were served through opportunities to showcase their art, and those artists benefited through payments of $42,270 in that year. With LowellArts recent move to a larger building, its programs in the visual and performing arts will grow serving more artists through presenting opportunities and payments for their art.
